Continuing a flurry of massive tunes in quick succession, particulaly Marco Demark - Tiny Dancer which is still ripping up dancefloors thanks to a huge variety of remixes including the huge Deadmau5 remixes, 3 Beat Blue unleash Cahill - Trippin On You. The Original mix is a full on peak time vocal monster with superb vocals from Nikki Belle that probably makes this track THE first big vocal tune of 2008. Already climbing the club charts its probably gonna follow on from the success that Marco Demark - Tiny Dancer is currently receiving. With uplifting chords and a strong catchy vocal its a sure fire winner. Watch out Miami!
A name gaining momentum now is Thomas Gold and he teams up with Wawa on the flip side remix that adds a touch of electro. Keeping the vocal and the big big chords for the breakdown in tact but adding touch of trademark dirty bass.
Both mixes will no doubt be hammering the clubs for many weeks, months and probably years to come!
Not a label content with one set of remixes, 3 Beat Blue supply a second disc of bassline rich Wideboys mixes which will be in stock very soon.
Some wicked new progressive and tech in this week kicking off with a superb offering from Deadmau5 friend and studio partner - Glenn Morrison - No Sudden Moves / Circles now on Italian release on Cinnamon Flava. Full review can be found here
Out of the Baroque stable comes R-Tem - Dal which builds impressively, layering sounds and riffs all the way up to a mammoth breakdown, lying slightly on the trancier side of progressive this is well worth a listen. B side contais a deeper Sam Ball Remix.
From Barqoue sub label Rococo comes Dirty Dot - Heart Of Pain wth ace female vocal snippets and a wicked electro bassline.
On the tech side Buzzin’ Fly 4 Remixes Part 2 contains three ace deep tech cuts from BarBQ and Kimouts including remix from Solomun. Josh Gabriel - Summit remixes are in featuring remixes from Josh Gabriel himself and Dusty Kid Rouge on Organized Nature.
A few new electro titles in this week. The Tuffhouse Label remixes the classic Dark Monks - Insane on a new single sided release. It certainly is tough and what a breakdown!
Pretty fine Venus Kaly - The Secret (Electro Remixes) out of France on Chic Flowerz has a wicked bass and vocals and a cool tough house mix from Da Chic on the flip.
New label for FRR is Kitsune and now in is the super twisted 2xLP Kitsune Maison Compilation 5 feturing tracks from Fischerspooner, Digitalism and Alan Braxe. Nice gatefold vinyl with cool artwork too. This compilaiton is also available CD too.
On a house tip is the third in the Gilles Peterson - In The House Exclusives series. 4 ace house and deep house tracks from Kings Of Tomorrow, Zed Bias, Season & Sygaire and Tribe. Another quality EP from Defected.
All tunes available at www.firstrhythm.co.uk

Glenn Morrison - No Sudden Moves / Circles
Glenn Morrison’s tracks have been supported by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Digweed and Tiesto. The track No Sudden Moves hit the number one spot of the World Dance Charts a few weeks ago and for good reason. Now on Italian label Cinnamon Flava we get another chance to hear these two tracks that have that ‘Deadmau5‘ sound (they share the same studio!). Previous tracks from Glenn have also been on Mau5trap Records and Mr Deadmau5 himself Joel Zimmerman lends his engineering skills to this release.
No Sudden Moves builds nicely and is a nice understated tech/prog cut. Circles has the edge though in my opinion, introducing riffs that tease along the way to the break where a simple floating melody is introduced which explodes into a rich stereo swirling riff that you never want to end and just as you begin to get lost the beat slams back in. Total class.
